TERMS & CONDITIONS

This document describes the terms by which ClutterClear Solutions would be happy to help you.

 

Confidentiality and Privacy

  • ClutterClear Solutions is a professional service. All work will be carried out in a confidential and sensitive manner. I never divulge client information to third parties, nor any personal or business details that I may see in the course of my work, (which when decluttering, is generally unavoidable). The only way in which your situation may be mentioned to others is in the context of my own services, and is depersonalised and totally anonymous.

  • If you are in agreement, I like to take 'before and after' pictures for use on my website, but I will only use them with your permission.

  • I will ask you for your feedback after the completion of the work, and will be grateful for any testimonial you are able to provide.

 

Travel

  • I am happy to travel, however if further than 1 hour (one way) from my base in Harrow, a charge may, at my discretion and depending on location, be made at the rate of 45p per additional mile travelled. This will be agreed before the booking is accepted.

  • If a destination is too far away from me to be practical for a personal visit, and it’s not something I can help you with remotely, I will suggest other companies that may be able to assist you.

 

Cancellation

Cancellations are sometimes unavoidable. Both you and I have the right to cancel the contract due to unforeseen circumstances. If the cancellation is made within 48 hours of the booked session, and no replacement session is booked, I may, at my discretion, charge 25% of the intended fee, and any deposit already paid will not be refunded

 

Insurance

I am fully insured for Public Liability and Professional Indemnity. 

 

Payment terms

  • A £50 deposit will be requested, prior to work commencing.

  • An invoice will be raised on completion of the job, and payment is to be made in full within 7 days of receipt. If a project continues over several weeks or months, an invoice will be raised on a fortnightly basis. If we have agreed on a package, an invoice will be raised for the total amount, and payment terms will be indicated on the invoice.

  • Payments are accepted by cash, cheque made payable to Jackie Conlan, or direct by BACs using the details shown on the invoice.

  • I am not registered for VAT at the present time.

 

General

  • I will provide the best possible help and advice in any given situation, but ultimately it is your decision whether or not to follow the advice given. I cannot therefore accept responsibility for the consequences of such decisions.

  • I can assure you that work is carried out with utmost care, however, accidents can happen. I cannot be held responsible should any items be damaged during the course of that work.

  • Whilst I am happy to give areas in which I am working a light clean as work proceeds, I do not undertake any heavy cleaning services.  I can, however recommend a very good cleaning company if required.

  • Whilst I am happy to re-arrange a room in the course of de-cluttering and re-organisation, I will not undertake to lift heavy items of furniture.

  • I would advise you to seek professional advice if you think an item may be of some value, as I have no expertise in this field. I am happy to make enquiries about appropriate services on your behalf, if you so wish.

  • Items to be removed from your premises, either for disposal or to other locations, must be at your own discretion. I am happy to take one car load of items away for donating to charity, or recycling, but will only do so with your written authority. The client accepts responsibility for all or any items disposed of in the decluttering process.

  • I will always ensure that any third party suppliers, or tradesmen recommended are

       suitably qualified for the job, however I cannot be held responsible should their work not reach your level           of satisfaction.

       The client is responsible for payment to any third parties.

  • If a session covers lunchtime, I will provide my own food, but would appreciate regular hot or cold drinks. I do not charge for long (e.g. lunch) breaks.
