Will I/we need to be around during the decluttering process?

 

Yes, initially you will need to decide what to keep and what needs disposing of. However, once decisions are made, you can, if you wish, leave me to it to organise the room in a way that will work for you and make your life a whole lot easier.

 

Will you make me throw things away?

 

Not at all – it is entirely your decision as to whether you dispose of an item. I will just be there to offer support, advice and recommendations to help you decide along the way. 
 

How long will the process take?

 

It’s not always possible to give an accurate timescale, as every project is different and dependent on the decision-making process. I will however, be able to give you a rough idea once I've had a look at your space, and know what you would like to achieve by the end of the process.
 

What will you do with all the rubbish?

 

I'm always keen to recycle as much as possible, whether donating to a charity of your choice, transporting to a recycling centre, selling through Ebay or similar or giving away.  I am generally happy to take one car-load of rubbish away for donating to charity or recycling with your written agreement. Arrangements can be made for larger items to be collected from your home. Skip hire can be organised if required and if there are items you’d like to sell, I can try to find somebody who can do that for you. This would all be discussed during our initial consultation.
 

Do you supply things like black bags and boxes?

 

I will supply black bags for disposal of rubbish. I can advise and help you source additional items such as packing boxes, storage items and files although these will be charged to you. 
 

What if I want to tackle the work myself, but am struggling to know how or where to start - is this something you could help me with?

 

Yes, most definately. I have various options available, which can be discussed in our initial telephone conversation, but could include:
 

  • Asking you to complete and return a questionnaire, along with some photos of the space in question. I will then supply you with a detailed report and plan of action, based on the information provided.
     

  • Helping you via phone and email - this would also be suitable if you are situated further afield.
     

Whatever your situation or requirements, I will find a way to help you if we can.
